Privacy Notice
Last updated: November 2026
This notice explains how IDEEO AFRICA (“we”) handles personal data collected through the website https://ideeo.africa. It reflects the tools actually used to run this website.
1. Who is responsible
IDEEO AFRICA SARL, Cotonou, Benin. Contact for any data-protection request: contact@ideeo.africa.
2. What we collect and why
Contact form. When you send an enquiry, we collect the information you enter: full name, business email, company or organisation (optional), country, enquiry type, your message and, for sourcing or supplier enquiries, the product, company and capability details you choose to provide. We use this information only to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss a possible business relationship. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the consent box, and our legitimate interest in replying to business requests.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security, spam prevention and aggregated, anonymous visit statistics.
3. Services that process data on our behalf
- WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.) hosts the website and stores form submissions in our website database. Automattic’s Akismet service may check submissions for spam.
- Google Workspace (Google) receives a copy of each enquiry in our business mailbox, contact@ideeo.africa.
- Google Translate, only if you choose Chinese or Vietnamese in the language menu: the page text is sent to Google to be translated automatically in your browser.
These providers may process data outside Benin, including in the United States. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising cookies.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted, unless a business relationship requires us to keep them longer.
5. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@ideeo.africa. In Benin, you may also contact the Autorité de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel (APDP).
6. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed for it to function, security and anonymous statistics provided by our host. If you use the language menu, a small cookie remembers your language choice.
Translated versions of this website are produced automatically. In case of difference, the English version prevails.
